I don’t have a smartphone, can I still order online?
Yes. You can use systmonline through an internet browser on a computer or laptop, or complete the prescription request form on the Stow Surgery website.
I am not confident using online services. What support is available?
Our team can help signpost you to support services. A digital drop-in clinic is held at the surgery on the fourth Tuesday of every month. What if I cannot use online services because of my health, disability or personal circumstances?
We understand that online services are not suitable for everyone. Please contact the surgery to discuss your individual circumstances and any alternative arrangements that may be available.
Can someone else order my prescriptions for me?
Yes. Family members, carers or others involved in your care may be able to help you manage prescription requests. Please contact the surgery if you need advice about the most appropriate arrangement.
Will I still be able to request medication that is not on my repeat list?
Yes. SystmOnline or the Airmid App allow you to submit a custom medication request when needed. You can also make a request via our website.
What if I have run out of medication?
Please request your repeat medication as early as possible, at least 72 hours before you need to collect them. If you have completely run out, you should contact NHS 111 or use your NHS App to request an emergency supply.
Will this affect how quickly my prescription is processed?
No. Requests will continue to be processed in line with normal surgery timescales. Online ordering helps ensure requests are received clearly and managed efficiently.
Is it safe to order my prescriptions online?
Yes. NHS-approved online services use secure systems to protect your information. Online ordering also provides a clear record of requests, helping to reduce the risk of misunderstandings or errors.
