Friends of Stow Surgery
With people moving into and out of the area, the turnover of patients at the surgery is up to 400 a year, we thought it would be helpful to remind all patients:
Who we are and what we do
The Friends of Stow Surgery is a charity set up in 2000. All patients are automatically members of the Charity. It is run by a committee elected at the Annual General Meeting. The object of the Charity is “…the provision of equipment and services for the benefit of the patients of Stow Surgery not provided from state funds or by statutory authorities.”
The first item of equipment funded by your Charity was a Defibrillator. Other examples have included the automated check-in system, spirometry equipment, ambulatory blood pressure monitors, infant oximeters, opthalmoscopes and auroscopes.
How do we do this? It is all funded by voluntary donations and fund raising.

Join FOSS
All registered patients are able to join our Patient Participation Group. People of all genders, ages, ethnicities, and those with health conditions and disabilities are encouraged to join.
Members should as far as possible, be representative of the surgery population.

The 23rd AGM of Friends of Stow Surgery took place on 22nd June 2023 in St Edward’s Hall, Stow on the Wold.
