We have been made aware this morning that some patients have been attending the Reception at North Cotswolds Hospital in Moreton to make appointments for the above and have become abusive when told that the staff there are unable to help.
Whilst the hospital is being used as a venue for the vaccination programme the administration and booking is being managed by the North Cotswolds Primary Care Network (the group of 5 GP practices in the North Cotswolds).
We are aware that national letters have been sent out and that this has caused confusion. Locally, all patients will be invited by text message or telephone call (as previously) and it would be extremely helpful if people could wait until they receive their (local) invitation before calling to book.
The telephone number for the appointment booking Hub has been widely publicised – 01608 692115. We understand that the lines get busy but there are plenty of vaccinations for everyone and we’d like to ask people to be patient – and kind.
