Covid-19 Cases Increasing

In the 7 days to 8th June, positive COVID Cases doubled in Gloucestershire.

It is really important, if you have Covid symptoms, that you take a PCR test (see below on how to access these). These are different to Rapid / Lateral Flow Tests which may not be accurate in symptomatic patients.

We are still hearing from patients who have “coughs”. If you or your child have a cough (even if you think it’s hay fever / a viral illness) then please get a PCR test and isolate until you receive the results (generally within 24 hours) according to the Government guidelines.

The mobile testing unit continues to be available at various locations across the county. Anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 can have a test, but must book in advance by visiting the NHS website www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test or calling 119.

Locations are detailed on the Gloucestershire County Council website: www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/covid-19-information-and-advice. Please note that there may be changes due to site conditions or the need to divert units for outbreak management elsewhere.
