Routine Appointments

Patients are encouraged to see their usual doctor and to follow through an illness with the same doctor whenever possible.

Please plan ahead, especially if you wish to see a particular doctor on a particular day, as it is often difficult to accommodate such requests at short notice.

Appointments can be made up to 6 months in advance in the surgery, by telephone (up to a month in advance using the automated telephone system) and Online.

If you are unable to keep your appointment, or you no longer need it, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer the appointment to someone else.

Urgent Appointments

Please try to telephone as early as possible (the telephone appointment line opens at 8:40am) and explain to the receptionist that you require an urgent appointment. You will either be given a time to attend or a doctor will telephone you to assess the urgency of your call. Please only request an urgent appointment for urgent problems.

If you are in doubt about the urgency of your problem why not telephone 830625 for advice between 8.00am and 8.30am.

Telephone Advice

The doctor can be consulted for advice on the telephone if you do not think an appointment is necessary. Please try to call between 8.00am and 8.30am wherever possible to book a telephone appointment.

Enhanced Access clinics

The five GP surgeries – Chipping Campden Surgery, Cotswold Medical Practice, Stow Surgery, Whitehouse Surgery and Mann Cottage Surgery – offer a variety of different appointments before 8am and after 6.30pm as part of an Enhanced Access to NHS appointments service.

Did you know that the North Cotswold Primary Care Network provides appointments outside of normal GP practice opening hours?

Dependent on suitability, you may be offered the opportunity to take advantage of these appointments when you call your surgery. The appointment might not be at your surgery, but at one of the others listed here and you will be advised of the location of the clinic when you book.

If you would like to know more about the Enhanced Access clinics on offer, please ask a reception team member.
